Just finished up a new logo for a very cool event. No Name Players Presents - SWAN Day Pittsburgh 2012. This is my second year being involved with this show and I was excited when they asked me to create this years logo. Check out this very unique event.

Super Lawyers

No Name Players

Recently, I have been doing some flyer and set design for No Name Players. Here is the flyer for The Book of Liz, by Amy and David Sedaris! It was a great play and so much fun to work on!

Rashid Family Reunion logo

This family has been gathering every year for 82 years! They are very impressive and organized about it, too. They meet in a different city each year, and hire local artists to design a logo for the weekend. These are some that I came up with! Check it out.

WYEP Live and Direct

I am way overdue in posting this, but earlier this year I designed and illustrated the WYEP Live and Direct Vol. 13. Cd Packaging.

Tote Bag-a-riffic

Recently, I've gotten back into screen printing. It has been a while since I have been in that environment and have really enjoyed getting ink on my hands (and clothes) again. ;) For my first time back - I assigned myself the task of printing on canvas tote bags to give out as gifts. Here are some pics and a couple of the illustrations that I did.

Trib Total Media Outdoor Boards, Bus Wraps, and Bus Shelters

We just put out a new round of creative for Trib Total Media. And this round is far less aggressive than the one we did in the spring. In fact, this is a very soft, heart warming campaign. The Trib wanted to show just how much they are a part of the community and how much they "conTRIBute". Warm tones and photo journalistic style images really help capture what they were going for. Check it out!

This piece was inspired by our recent house search and my love for living in the city. We will find a place to call ours one day. Hence the key with with the wings.

Trib Total Media Outdoor Boards, Bus Wraps, and Bus Shelters

If you are in Pittsburgh or the surrounding areas, you might have noticed a rather large, rather bold campaign for Trib Total Media. Chalk full of outdoor boards with 5 foot extentions, and buses wrapped and bus shelter signs. I am proud to say that I was the art director and designer on this project along with our new creative director, and this was also a full agency effort and collaboration. Take a look!

Sqeeky Green Logo

The final logo was chosen... Check it out!

More rejected, but loved.

A few months ago, I was asked to create a logo for a start-up "green" commercial cleaning company called, "SQUEEKY GREEN".
I was very happy with outcome, and I will post it for you to check out... but first, here are some of the ones that didn't make the cut. Enjoy!

Rejected, but loved #3.

Last summer I was able to pitch in some ideas for some packaging designs that Giant Ideas presented for Kool Cigarettes. Enjoy!

Rejected, but loved.

This little reject was one of my personal favorites. This was the design of a website for a film being shot here in Pittsburgh about the Allegheny Observatory. This is a really interesting subject matter and I can't wait to see the film. Check out the link to see what the site actually turned out like... but here is my reject to view. ;)

The concept for this was to take the historic nature of the Observatory and make it like you were traveling through the journal of John Brashear to explore the nooks and cranies of history. Alas, this was too much of a historic approach seeing as the Observatory is still used today and has very modern research underway.

Rejected, but loved.

I have decided that I would post some of my favorites that never actually made the cut. The first in this series is a little typography piece that I did last year for the Pittsburgh Film Office Academy awards gala. I will post the option that they actually did choose for this year too! But first... here's my reject.

I wanted this to be as fancy as can be. Because this party is black tie with a little bit of fun splashed in. So I made it extra glitzy... sort of like, if Paris Hilton or Maddona had an acid trip... it would look like this! Enjoy!

2008-2009 Addy® Awards Materials

Over at Giant Ideas, The Pittsburgh Advertising Federation has asked us to create the promotional materials for the 2008-2009 Addy® Awards. This years event is being held at the Carnegie Music Hall again, and it promises to be a great event. After a great deal of brainstorming and some pretty cool collaboration with-in the giant team, (thanks Marc, Mo and Bryan!) and great writing from Mike Guinta over at Garrison Hughes we came up with a movie poster theme for the event, and all of the materials will be presented in the form of a movie poster! I think there was even some talk of coming up with a little trailer... but that might still be up in the air. Anyways, here is what the "Call for entries" looks like. It just went out last week.
